- Castiel feels like he’s constantly buying candy for the trick or treaters. He hides it elaborately in cupboards, drawers and under the sofa, but Dean always manages to find and eat it. Castiel will often come home to find Dean on the brink of a sugar coma surrounded by candy wrappers with a smug smile on his face.
- Every year, a week before Halloween, Dean sits Castiel down to discuss exactly which costumes they’re going to wear to Gabriel’s Halloween Costume Party. It’s taken years for Dean to get Castiel to finally agree to Batman and Robin. Guess who’s gonna be Batman?
- Dean’s favourite pastime is carving pumpkins with Castiel. Dean puts his all into it, truly. He spends time drawing guidelines onto the rippled surface, marking out the exact measurements, but despite his best efforts, he is always thwarted by Castiel’s artistic nature.
- Dean makes pumpkin pie every year without fail. Making the dough usually ends up with both Dean and Cas covered in flour and butter.
- Castiel anticipates the return of Pumpkin Spiced Latte every Fall, and he always buys Dean one on his way from home. If Sam ever catches them sipping the sickly sweet coffee, he initiates a lengthy speech about high fructose corn syrup. Dean and Cas ignore him happily.
